What do you get when you mix the imagination and artistry of the team at Madcap Cottage with the quality and workmanship of Newport Cottages? You get fun, color, texture, pattern, and ingenuity, all culminating in the design of our new Swizzle Stick collection!
What initially attracted us to this pairing was the idea of doing something completely unexpected and unprecedented in the juvenile furnishings industry. John and Jason are known for creating layered interiors filled with bold, energetic prints and patterns. Their approach to design is as full-hearted as their approach to life, which we felt would translate well in juvenile furniture design.
After our first planning meeting with John and Jason, we quickly realized our initial concept of a capsule nursery collection was inadequate. Rather than limiting ourselves to just children’s spaces, the team decided to expand the concept to include furnishings for the rest of the home as well!
Over the next few weeks, we will be giving you a glimpse into the design and manufacturing process, letting you see just how much passion, knowledge, talent, and love goes into crafting quality furniture for your home!
