For added safety and support, and in keeping with our all wood philosophy, we’ve upgraded our mattress support system to a solid wood platform. This new platform supports your crib mattress more evenly than the traditional metal spring system. The wood support is just like the bunky boards used on our bunk beds. When you are ready to convert your crib to a toddler bed, simply remove one or both side gates, remove the Y-brackets from the support and lower the support onto the crib’s stabilizer bars. A toddler guard rail can be purchased separately.
